Dennis scheduled for status hearing in Stief murder trial

MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – Robert Dennis, one of three people accused in the 2016 death of Robin Stief, is due in court Monday for a status hearing.
Stief’s badly burned body was found in a garbage can near Piles Fork Creek in Carbondale.
In recent court appearances, Dennis has said he’s unhappy with his legal representation and has also made the claim that he’s been sexually assaulted in Jackson County Jail at the orders of his co-defendants Tiesha Anderson and Lauren Stinde.
A jury trial is scheduled for October 1.
