The Illinois Capitol was briefly evacuated Tuesday following a small furnace fire shortly before lawmakers were expected to gather for a veto session.
The fire started in an office used by the Illinois Senate and was put out with an extinguisher.
The building was evacuated as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.
