JACKSON COUNTY, IL. – Three people have been injured in a head-on crash in Jackson County.
It happened around 2:45pm Monday on Route 51, just north of the Truax Blacktop in rural Elkville.
State Police say that Alexander Sauer was driving north when he crossed the center line and hit a vehicle being driven by Kesha Eaton head-on.
Occupants of both vehicles had to be cut out of the wreck. One of the victims was airlifted to an Indiana hospital.
Traffic on Route 51 was stopped for about two hours while crews cleaned up the scene.
