Legionnaires Disease found in Champaign County

CHAMPAIGN, IL. (WJPF) – Six Illinois residents from Champaign County have been diagnosed with Legionnaires Disease.
According to the State Department of Public Health, several locations are being investigated as a possible source, including a church where the patients may have attended a wedding reception.
Champaign is about a three hour drive east of Quincy where a Legionnaires outbreak at veterans home killed 14 and sickened many others.
The first many planned building demolitions on the Quincy Veterans Home campus took place Tuesday.
