The Illinois Senate has given approval transferring the state’s idled Hardin County Work Camp property to Hardin County government.
State Sen. Dale Fowler was able to fast track the legislation. He said the work camp will be re-purposed into a detention center.
The move could result in 30 jobs, Fowler said.
