SESSER, IL. (WJPF) – For the second time in under a week, a pedestrian has been hit by a train.
The latest accident happened around 7:00 PM Monday in Sesser.
A man was crossing the tracks when he was hit by a passing freight train. He was airlifted to a hospital. He is expected to recover.
Coal Street in Sesser will be closed Tuesday to allow railroad investigators full access to the scene.
