WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) — A West Frankfort man is in custody, a death investigation underway after the discovery of a body in rural Williamson County.
The body of 29-year-old Kendra Ardery was found Monday east of Marion near the intersection of Angelville and Meadowlark Road.
48-year-old Thomas McCoy is facing multiple charges including first degree murder.
Authorities say McCoy had a relationship with the victim and, after initial questioning, led police to the body.
He’s currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.
