CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — The University Mall in Carbondale will soon have an empty anchor store.
Macy’s announced Monday that they will close their Carbondale location in the coming weeks. A definitive closure date has not been set.
The store employs about forty people. Some of those may be offered a transfer to the nearest Macy’s location in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Clearance sales will begin this month and last for the next two to three months.
