HARRISBURG, Ill. (WJPF) — Sentencing for Brian Burns, the former Saline County doctor convicted of murder in the death of his estranged wife Carla, has been delayed.
Burns was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, but missed the hearing because the state didn’t file the right paperwork needed to transport Burns from Menard Correctional Center to the Saline County Courthouse.
He’s now scheduled to be sentenced on March 31.
