MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A 4-year-old girl is dead after a single vehicle DUI crash on Interstate 24 in Massac County.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the on-ramp from US 45 to the westbound lanes of I-24.
According to Illinois State Police, the driver left the road to the right, over-corrected, and then overturned.
The 4-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The 27-year-old driver and a 27-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to area hospitals. A third passenger was not injured.
The driver was jailed on a DUI charge.
All involved were from Nashville, Tennessee.
