SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — 48 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across southern Illinois Thursday.
New cases were confirmed in Franklin (5), Galatin (1), Jackson (15), Jefferson (6), Massac (1), Perry (3), Randolph (1), Saline (5), White (3), and Williamson (8) counties.
Statewide, the department of public health reported 1,772 new cases and 18 additional deaths.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate remains at 3.8%.
