SCOTT AFB (WJPF) — Scott Air Force Base was placed on lockdown for a short time yesterday.
The base went into lockdown around 2:30 p.m. after what base officials are calling a situation in the dormitory area involving an Air Force veteran with prior convictions who was believed to be armed and possibly dangerous. They say it was not an active shooter situation.
The man was taken into custody without incident around 4:30 p.m.
