One body recovered after ATV goes into Ohio River

CAVE-IN-ROCK, Ill. (WJPF) — The body of a man, who appears to have been on an ATV that was driven purposefully into the Ohio River, has been recovered near Cave-In-Rock.
The incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
Cave-In-Rock Ferry crew members, who were loading cars on the Kentucky side of the river at the time, say they saw the ATV, travelling at a high rate of speed, go down the ramp at the end of Illinois Route 1 and then go into the water.
Witnesses say they thought they saw two people on the ATV, but only one body has been recovered.
