Gaming Board gives Walker’s Bluff nod

The Walker’s Bluff casino project appears to have gotten a shot in the arm this week.
The Illinois Gaming Board voted Wednesday to grant a determination of “preliminary suitability” for the project.
Walker’s Bluff officials and organized labor have expressed confidence that a project-labor agreement (PLA) for construction of the $150 million complex could be signed soon.
In addition to the casino, the complex will include a hotel, pool and spa, restaurants and an events center.
