Carbondale Police investigate Monday shooting

 
CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — A pedestrian was hit by gunfire Monday in Carbondale.
Carbondale Police say at about 5:50 p.m., the victim was walking near the intersection of North Pierce and East Burke Streets when they heard gunshots and were hit by a bullet. The victim, who did not tell police if they thought were the intended target or not, ran to SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
