Southern Illinois men’s golfers Tom Cleaton and Birgir Magnusson were named 2020-21 All-American Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The award requires a 3.2 GPA or better, participation of at least 50-percent of the team’s competitive rounds, a stroke-average under 76.0, and junior or senior academic status.
“I’m very proud of all their hard work and dedication on and off the golf course,” said Southern Illinois head coach Danielle Kaufman.
The Salukis have had at least one All-American Scholar each year for the last eight seasons, including four in 2020 — a program-best.
