RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A Percy woman was killed Wednesday in a crash in Randolph County.
It happened on Route 4 between Sparta and Steeleville.
Illinois State Police say Lila Ashby, 83, was traveling southbound when she crossed the center line and hit a tractor trailer head on. Ashby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, Luke Sale, 26, of Red Bud, was taken to an area hospital. Sale was also cited for no valid license.
