CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Classes at SIU are cancelled Friday. Chancellor Austin Lane is encouraging students to use that time to practice self care in the wake of the recent deaths of four SIU students.
Activities for students, ranging from pilates to mental health counseling will be offered at little or no cost.
The campus will be open for business Friday. Classes will resume Monday.
