Carbondale gets 7 years for possessing child pornography

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man has been sentenced to 7 years in prison for child pornography.
Michael Nelson, 24, was convicted on two counts of possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors say the FBI received a tip that led agents discovering that Nelson had uploaded images of child pornography to a Dropbox account. Hundreds of images and videos were later found on Michael Nelson’s personal computer.
