CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for armed robbery.
Prosecutors say along with another man, Jered McPike, 21, robbed Omar’s Food Mart in Carbondale at gunpoint in October 2018. The pair took cash and tobacco products.
McPike was caught a short time later by Carbondale Police. At the time of his apprehension, McPike was carrying a backpack that contained the stolen cash and tobaccos products as well as the guns and face masks used in the robbery.
