COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Jackson County man was killed Wednesday in a single vehicle crash in the Metro East.
Illinois State Police say Jason Mayes, 47, of Ava was driving on Interstate 55 near Collinsville when he ran off the road and hit a utility pole.
Mayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
