Two killed when pickup strikes motorcycle

 
STEELEVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people were killed Friday when a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle in Steeleville.
Illinois State Police say it happened at about 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and James Street. 26-year-old Dakota Morrison of Chester and 31-year-old Diane Gilmer of Steeleville were on the motorcycle, stopped at the stop sign on James Street, when they were hit by a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Nicholas Cook of Du Quoin. 
Morison and Gilmer died of their injuries. Cook was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
