Bruce Jilek, the legendary Herrin softball coach and athletic director, passed away the morning of Friday June 10th. On Monday, funeral arrangements were announced. The memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 15th at noon at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin.
Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until 12 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends are asked to donate to the newly created Bruce Jilek Scholarship Fund to be awarded to a senior softball player at Herrin High School in lieu of flowers.
