SIU pitching coach Jamieson leaves for same position at Memphis

SIU Baseball needs a new pitching coach after Tim Jamieson accepted the Memphis pitching coach position over the weekend.
During his time with the Salukis, Jamieson helped the Dawgs to consecutive 40-win seasons and this year’s Missouri Valley Conference regular season title.  SIU led the Valley in team earned run average this year at 4.89 and was second in 2021 at 4.62.
The past two seasons were the best in program history in strikeouts with 494 in 2021 and 476 this past season.
Jamieson came to SIU through his connection to current head coach Lance Rhodes in 2020.  Jamieson was head coach of Missouri from 1995 until 2016 where he compiled a 698-565-2 record making him the second-winningest coach in Mizzou baseball history.  Rhodes would join Mizzou as part of the next coaching regime before ultimately getting the SIU head coach position.
