Deaths of Sesser couple under investigation

 
SESSER, Ill. (WJPF) Police in Sesser are investigating the deaths of an elderly couple.
Just after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the South Locust Street home of James and Phyllis Miller after a call was made from the home to 9-1-1, but no one was on the other end of the line.
Authorities James Miller died in a hospital from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Phyllis Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
James and Phyllis Miller were both 86-year-old.
