Secretary of State Jesse White’s office is again extending the expiration date for Illinois driver’s licenses and ID cards.
The current expiration deadline is July 31st, but that’s now being delayed until December 1st.
Online renewals are also extended and eligible customers will be receiving a letter from White’s office. The letter will contain a PIN number to renew online.
Brand new drivers, drivers 75 and older and those applying for the real ID card will still have to take care of that in person.
