Hamilton County updates fans, game vs. Carmi-White County remains on Friday night

Monday night, the Hamilton County Foxes told fans on Twitter that their season-opening game on Friday was to be moved to Saturday due to issues finding officials.  Less than 24 hours later, the game is back on for Friday.
The Foxes announced Tuesday morning that they were able to find an available official team and will host the Carmi-White County Bulldogs in Week 1 of the football season.
In 2021, the Foxes finished with a 3-5 record and took a 16-14 loss at Carmi-White County in their season-opener.  This year, the Foxes are under the direction of new head coach Rhett Vaughan.
The Bulldogs went 6-4 last season, falling to Breese Mater Dei in the opening round of the playoffs.  They figure to be a force in the Black Diamond this year with last year’s league leader in rushing, Isaac King, in the backfield.  King rushed for 1,945 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2021.
