Vienna Goreville seeking new football coach

Vienna Goreville is in need of a new head football coach, once again.  When the 2023 season opens in August, the Eagles will have their third head coach in three years.
Former head coach Rob Womack is headed to South Carolina to be closer to family.
“I received an amazing opportunity in Charleston, SC and will be relocating to be close to my daughter, as she is starting a young family,” Womack said in his resignation statement.
In a statement, Vienna Athletic Director David Hill expressed his appreciation for Womack.
“VG football is still relatively young and the program improved drastically under Coach Womack, which is all you can really ask for. He’ll be missed for sure”
Womack led the Eagles to a 1-8 record this past year.  It was the first season in four years the Eagles had tallied a victory.
Before serving as head coach in 2022, Womack was an assistant coach in 2021 for Vienna Goreville.
