CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Johnston City man has been arrested in Carbondale, accused of stealing copper.
Carbondale Police say around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, an officer on foot patrol in the 1200 block of East Main Street saw Damon Jones, 46, take the metal from a contractor’s vehicle.
Damon Jones was taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of burglary to motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and resisting a peace officer.
