DUQUOIN, Ill. (WJPF) – Extreme heat has caused some last minute changes to the first night of the DuQuoin State Fair.
Both the Twilight Parade and the motocross races, scheduled for Friday night, have been canceled. The grandstand show, Fairy Tales on Ice, will go on, but has been moved indoors to the Southern Illinois Center.
Other events and attractions, including the free beer tent concert, the carnival rides, and the ribbon cutting ceremony will go on as planned.
