Arrest for Violation of Sex Offender Registration Requirements in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – An arrest has been made for Violation of Sex Offender Registration in Williamson County.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s office conducted a traffic stop on December 21st, after observing a car make multiple traffic violations.

The driver, Christopher Richards, was discovered to be driving while license Revoked and in violation of Sex Offender registration requirements.

Richards was cited for Violation of Sex Offender Registry, Driving While License Revoked, and No Valid Driver’s License.

Richards remains in the Williamson County Jail.
