Three People have been Arrested for Drug and Gun Charges in Williamson County

Three have been arrested on drug and gun charges in Williamson County.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s office conducted a traffic stop on December 17th for traffic violations near the intersection of IL Route 148 and Herrin Road.

The vehicle fled until it came to a stop at a residence in the 700 block of North 14th Street in Herrin. 

The driver was identified as Brandon Elders. Two passengers were also in the vehicle, Tiffany Barnes and Brandon Partee.

Deputies knew all three from prior law enforcement contact.

A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun and holster, three jars containing cannabis, a digital scale and smoking devices which tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Elders was cited for Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Failure to Signal when Required.

Partee was cited for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Barnes was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine.

All three remain in the Williamson County Jail.
