WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (WJPF) – Three homes have been damaged by fire in West Frankfort.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 607 South Sunnyslope Street at about 5:15 a.m. Monday and found one home fully engulfed with flames. The fire spread to a vacant neighboring home to the north and the heat from the fire damaged the exterior of a third neighboring home to the south.
One firefighter was burned on the hand. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
