Stray bullet damages Carbondale home

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Police in Carbondale are trying to determine who fired a shot that ended up inside of a home. 

Carbondale Police say an officer patrolling the 400 block of East Willow Street heard the shots fired around 9:50 p.m. Sunday.

A home in 600 block of North Washington Street was damaged by the gunfire.  A person inside said the bullet entered the home.  No one inside was hurt. 

Carbondale Police believe the shots were fired from the 300 block of East Chestnut Street.
