Logan Softball collects first regular season title under Taylor Siefert

#19 John A. Logan Softball wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday with a pair of wins over Olney Central.

Game one was a 9-1 victory in six innings for the Vols; Hailie Charmat improved to 15-1 in the win.  Game two was a 5-0 win over the Blue Knights; Emma Markham improved to 12-4 in the win.  Hannah Hackworth hit a home run in each victory, bringing her season total to 15.

The Volunteers finish the year with a record of 45-9.  They were 33-3 in the GRAC.  It is the first regular season title in the GRAC and Region 24 for the Vols since head coach Taylor Siefert took over the program in the 2016-17 school year.

The #19 Vols earn the top seed in the Region 24 Tournament.  John A. Logan College will serve as host to the Tournament, starting May 4.
