Tyler Bey the second Missouri State player this week to commit to SIU

Tuesday afternoon, SIU men’s basketball nabbed the commitment of Tyler Bey, who played for Missouri State last season.  Bey is the second Bears player to commit to SIU in a 24 hour span, joining Damien Mayo Jr.

Bey battled injuries his freshman season, playing in 18 games and averaging 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds.

The 6’8 guard out of Newark, NJ was ranked as highly as a four-star prospect by ESPN and received a three-star ranking from Rivals, 247Sports, and On3.com.  His senior season, Bey competed in the NBA-connect Overtime Elite league in Atlanta, GA.

Bey is the sixth player to commit to SIU since Scott Nagy took over as head coach in late March.
