CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Carbondale Police say a domestic dispute between a husband and wife ended with the husband in the hospital and the wife in jail.
Carbondale Police say Evetta Hughes, 31, shot her husband Tuesday morning at a home in the 400 block of North Beadle Drive. She’s been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated domestic battery.
Her husband was hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
