FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A man has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and aggravated assault.

On June 8, police were dispatched to a residence in Franklin County for a report of domestic violence.

Dispatchers had received information about a confrontation between a female juvenile and a family member, and as a result the juvenile’s dog had been killed.
