JACOB, Ill. (WJPF) – Authorities in Jackson County are investigating a deadly house fire.
It happened earlier this month in Neunert, a rural area of the bottoms, near Jacob.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says on the morning of May 15, Amy Hickam, 49, died in a fire at a home located at 60 West Jacob Road. The sheriff’s office says the home was fully engulfed with flame by the time firefighters arrived.
