WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One person has been arrested and another wanted for theft of utility wire.
One June 1st investigators with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office were conducting surveillance near the intersection of Lake of Egypt and Power Plant Roads.
Surveillance discovered that two white males entered SIPC property, later identified as Cody Bozarth and Daniel Shepard.
Photographs of Bozarth and Shepard leaving the scene were captured and were later able to track and locate the stolen utility wire near the Creal Springs Mini-Mart .
On June 3, Daniel Shepard was arrested and cited for Theft, Criminal Damage to State Property, and Criminal Trespass to Land.
A nationwide warrant for the arrest of Cody Bozarth was issued on June 6th.
Multiple attempts to locate Bozarth have been unsuccessful.
