BENTON, Ill. (WJPF) – A large water leak had to be repaired over the weekend in Benton.
A 10-inch water main connecting a water tower to storage tank burst Friday afternoon near Spani Street. Streets in the immediate area were flooded and water pressure on the south side of town was impacted.
The break was repaired by about 9:30 p.m. Friday.
