ANNA, Ill. (WJPF) – A Union County Sheriff’s Deputy was treated for minor injuries after striking a deer and crashing into a ravine while en-route to an emergency call.
It happened at about 8:00 p.m. Saturday on Highway 127, just south of State Forest Road.
The sheriff’s office says after the squad car came to a rest at the bottom of a ravine, the deputy was able to climb out of the car and up the embankment.
