The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says drivers should expect more patrols along Illinois 37 near Buncombe. That comes after three accidents were reported in the exact same spot.
Deputies say the patrols will begin immediately, in partnership with Illinois State Police. The accidents happened right in front of the Buncombe Quarry, and investigators believe loose rock in the area may have played a role.
