One Person has died following a drowning yesterday afternoon
Sheriff Kyle Bacon says his office, along with multiple agencies, responded to a harbor off Illinois 154 at Wayne Fitzgerald State Park.
An elderly man, visiting from out of state, had fallen into the lake. Private boaters pulled him from the water, and fire crews immediately began CPR. Despite those efforts, the Franklin County Coroner later pronounced him deceased at the scene.
