MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – The Illinois State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Massac County Jail.
43-year-old Dennis Schapmire of Ozark, Illinois was found dead in his cell by jail staff around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
An autopsy was conducted in Williamson County. A cause of death is pending results of a toxicology report.
