Sen. Fowler’s legislation would create “nuisance” deer tags

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — State Senator Dale Fowler is sponsoring legislation to address the damage deer can do to a farmer’s crop.

According to Fowler, Senate Bill 710 would make it easier for farmers and landowners to get additional tags to harvest deer on their farmland.  The legislation is an initiative of IDNR and the Illinois Farm Bureau.

Senate Bill 710 is currently pending in the Illinois Senate.
