One person is in custody following a shooting Monday night in Herrin.
Police say Maurice Boyd was identified as the suspect and arrested in connection with the incident. He’s facing charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and is being held in the Williamson County Jail.
The shooting happened around six o’clock Monday evening on Bayer Circle Drive. One person was found with a gunshot wound and taken for treatment.
