The Lady Vols finished the season Tuesday night in an 89-58 loss to #5 Wabash Valley in the District Tournament semifinals. SIU Baseball made history on Tuesday night with a 10-0 win over Austin Peay, tossing their first no-hitter since 1979 when Paul Evans pitched a 7-inning no-hitter. It's the first 9-inning no-no since 1953 when Paul Grandcolas no-hit Arkansas State. Former John A. Logan standout and current University of Southern Indiana head basketball coach Stan Gouard joined the halftime show during the John A. Logan vs. SWIC game on Tuesday. He talked with Mike Murphy about his old playing days, USI moving up to Division I, and the state of basketball today:
Herrin High School girls basketball coach Chris Roberts said Tuesday he is stepping away from his position after 5 seasons with the Tigers. Herrin finished 16-14 this season and captured the West Frankfort Mid-Winter Classic last month. Assistant coach Mike Mooneyham is also stepping aside:
