The John A. Logan Volunteers announced the hire of Tyler Smithpeters as their next head men’s basketball coach in June. The hire was mostly expected as he had been working underneath his brother, former Vols head coach Kyle Smithpeters, for years now and seemed like the best potential fit for the program. The younger Smithpeters brother joined Mike Murphy and Matt Varney this past Saturday on Sportsvoice and discussed becoming the next head coach
